Playoffs 2009 Colubus Blue Jackets at Detroit Red Wings Win 4-1

It was 0-0 until half way through the second period. Which made me sitting on the edge of my seat! Osgood spectacular the whole game but I have to admit I had my doubts. I thought there was the possibility that Ty Conklin would take over goaltending for Chris Osgood.
Making it 1-0 Jiri Hudler scores assisted with the help of a beautiful pass by Valtteri Filppula.
Not even 52 seconds later on the Blue Jackets Cal Clutterbuck scored keeping it the same nail biting feeling as it was when there wasn't a score at all.

Pavel Datsyuk didn't get any points but I thought he did very well this game. With plenty of take aways and killing off penalties early on in the game. Not the greatest calls by the refs in this game, or at least in my opinion they weren't.

Jiri Hudler 82 Games

Jiri Hudler the only player on the Red Wings to make it to all 82 games! Talk about dedication to your team. He really enjoys himself out there and recently he has had plenty of reason to. With 23 goals,34 assists,57 points 7 +/-,PIM 16 and TOI 13:38 this year.
At 5'9" and 178lbs Jiri Hudler plays right along with the big guys and at times being called "Happy Hudler" (I assume because he smiles alot).
A true team player Jiri Hudler is no doubt out there to back his team and of course ultimately, to win the Stanely Cup.

8-3 Red Wings Vs. Edmonton

Pavels 5th season in a row with over 20 goals. Still looking good making very few mistakes. Even when he does he ends up usually stealing the puck back.
Roloson with a cheap shot hitting Cleary in the family jewels! I think he deserved to be kicked out of the game for that. If Avery can get in trouble for saying a few measly words than Roloson should of gotten some sort of punishment rather than a little penalty.
Unfortunately I only saw the first period but I think the Wings pretty much were going to win the game.
5 goals in the first period a record this season for them.

I finally got time to see the rest of this game and what a spectacular game it was. 8-3 Rafalski,Lebda,Cleary,Datsyuk,Hossa,Sameulson,Leino and Hudler scored a goal!

Red Wings Vs. Bluejackets

I think Pavel Datsyuk had possibly one of the greatest nights in his hockey career so far. Being against the rookie goalie Steve Mason, Pavel Datsyuk seemed determined all night just to score on him. Once Datsyuk did score though he didn't settle down. Mason held out as long as he could but ended giving up 2 goals in the third. The second goal was by Hossa very soon after Datsyuks goal. In the end, Datsyuk made it even better after breaking his stick he kicks the puck to Zetterburg for an open net to further their win. Datsyuk was really beyond himself stealing,scoring,assisting and entertaining the crowd with his unbelievable moves.
I believe Pavel has 33 points in 29 games.
I could be wrong about that?
In my Opinion, The Players of the game are Datsyuk,Ty Conklin,Marian Hossa,Zetterburg,Hudler,Samuelson,Filppula,Cleary.

Winter Classic Red Wings Win 6 - 4 Against Chicago Blackhawks

It was a great game or at least for Red Wing fans it was. Samuelson scores the first goal. Hudler gets credited for two of the six goals. Lebda and Rafalski both scored. Pavel Datsyuk of course with a spectacular goal splitting the defense in half.

The come back by the Red Wings was just as spectacular. 5 unanswered goals to win the 2009 Winter Classic 6 to 4! Here are the highlights from the game...

Vancouver Canucks Vs. Detroit Red Wings

This one was another close game between the Vancouver Canucks and the Detroit Red Wings. The Wings got off to a slow start as they let in a very early goal! Hudler with 2 goals, Cleary with 2 goals, Meech, and Lidstrom both score once! What a crazy game...

Detroit Red Wings @ Calgary Flames

Datsyuk comes up with a nice goal along with Matlby for his first I believe, Lebda, Hudler and Hossa! Solid game by the Wings...

Tonight though Zetterburg was the one to get a hat trick with amazing patience.
Datsyuk did assist 2 out of 3 of Zetterburgs goals and got 3 assists all together.
Pavel has 11 goals and a 7 game point streak. 22 points so far this season. He leads the league with over 40 take aways!
Hudler scored as well as Franzen to make it 5-0. The Red wings prevail over the Minnesota Wild.
