The Pitts Looking Pitiful Vs. Red Wings In Game 5
Datsyuk is back and it's obvious!
Rafalski with a great pass up the ice to Pavel Datsyuk who crossed it over to Cleary. Cleary beats Fleury with a shot through the legs of a defenseman and just underneath glove of Fluery.1-0
End of the first period.
Beginning of the Second Period Datsyuk with awesome moves almost scores again. Shortly there after...
Osgood pass from behind his own net to Hossa who received the pass at the far blue line assisted to Filppula who just got off the bench and backhands it in. 2-0
Kronwall scores through three of the Penguins looking like a forward going right in front of the net after receiving a behind the net pass from Franzen. 3-0
Rafalski scored, nice screen by Holmstrom Fleury never even saw it! 4-0 Great pass from Datsyuk getting his second assist in this game. Pavel Datsyuk playing as if he never left, even though he was gone for 18 games! It's great to have him back!Samuelson passed back to Hudler who rifles a pass to Zetterberg who settles the pass and scores it top shelf. 5-0, in turn they pull Fluery to put in Gueiren their second string goalie.
Penguins much like other teams get desperate and dirty when the Red Wings make them look bad. Cheap shots on Zetterberg and Datsyuk were just plain unsportsmanlike! The Red Wings normally let other teams pay for being that way as they did tonight. #87 Crosby hacked Zetterberg and then #25 Talbot hacked Datsyuk trying to take out his recent injury!
Still 5-0 into the third period.
Mike Milbury during the second Intermission saying Datsyuk should sit out?
Then he said and I quote "if your going to slash somebody, make it hurt for crying out loud!" What an a$$The Pitts defeating themselves with their penalties all game.
Osgood with 15 career shutouts in the playoffs!
Final 5-0

Wings Win Game 1 Vs. The Pens
The Penguins came out strong, but Ozzie was solid as hell and Fluery helped us out by putting in two of our three goals. Ala Game 6 he let one in right out of his you know where. Great game by the Wings, hopefully Datsyuk plays in game 2 tomorrow. Go Wings!!!! Here are the highlights from Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals Pittsburgh Penguins Vs. Detroit Red Wings...

Red Wings Win The Stanley Cup

The Stanley Cup Champion Red Wings! Scoring in order
Rafalski, Filpula, Zetterburg. Here are the highlights...
Fleury literally shit out the game winning goal! We will post it when it becomes available. Ozzy nearly unstoppable even with a late Penguins goal he could have easily been the MVP! It was a unbelievable series!!! With only the Chelios's injury a healthy Red Wings team was just too much for Pittsburgh and the rest of the NHL to take. Zetterburg, Stewart, Drake all with their first cup! We are the champions!
Zetterburg is named the MVP and gets the Conn Smythe!!!

Pavel Datsyuk and his moves are always great to watch. Wings win 3-2!!! What a season... Here is a bit of the after party in the locker room with Brett Lebda!

Penguins Squeak Out A Game 5 Win
The Pittsburgh Penguins came out strong to get the first two goals of the game. One of the goals was actually shot in by Kronwall. Helm got the next goal right off of their defense men to make it 2-1 . Datsyuk comes back to hit the crossbar... it looked like everyone at Joe Lewis thought it was in, but no goal. 7 minutes into the 3rd period though he redirected in a shot to make it 2-2. Then Rafalski came up big and made it 3-2. The last minute of the 3rd period the Penguins came back to force an overtime.
In the first overtime the Red Wings carried the play but couldn't score. The refs attempted to give the Penguins a break as they gave them a very questionable call at a crucial time in the game... Very weak!
The second OT still didn't decide anything as the refs manged to call another goalie interference on the Red Wings. None the less no one scored and we headed on to the third overtime...
In a shocker the Penguins score in the 3rd overtime to keep their chances alive. We head to Pittsburgh for game 6...
Weighs 35 pounds whether it is in your hands or on the ice... Let's Go Red Wings!!!

Red Wings Win Game One Of The Stanley Cup Finals
This was just too funny! Watch as Fluery trips coming out on to the ice before the puck drop! First up The Benny Hill Version...
Now in regular speed...
Couldn't help but post this in super slow motion! Can't wait for game 2 on Monday in Detroit! Red Wings went on to win 4-0 as Samuelson had 2 unassisted goals... It really should have been 5 to zero, but the one ref looked like he had a favorite team going into the game : ) Zetterburg added to his totals along with Cleary without his jaw mask! Perhaps he will break out of his slump with this new found confidence...
First up is the Samuelson goal...
Here is Sammie's 2nd of the night...
Dan Cleary short handed...
The Zetterburg goal...
Here is the goal that was disallowed and should have been the game winner...

Wings Advance To The Stanley Cup Finals

The Detroit Red Wings dominated as they destroyed the Dallas Stars 4-1 in game 6 of the series. The Red Wings finished the series 4 games to 2 as Chris Osgood played solid in net and the offense for the Red Wings was way more efficient then the previous two games. Here are the highlights...
Drake, Datsyuk, Zetterburg, and Draper all scored. Draper literally got a goal off his face, Draper's bottom lip had to be stitched up! He came back to play a very good game though. Dallas Drake got his first goal of the playoffs as he took out the garbage and slapped in a goal inside the crease as Turco looked in the wrong direction!
Another key moment was when Zetterburg scored a shorthanded goal to completely deflating the Stars...About Datsyuk?
9 goals in the playoffs for Datsyuk all of them, AWAY? Anyone remember this great Turco moment from years past...

Pavel Datsyuk continued his great play as he managed 4 in the series against Dallas.
The real story though is the fact that the whole team has lead the Wings to their victory... After all, it is not an individual, but a team that makes it this far into the playoffs.
Here is what one of the younger fans of The Detroit Red Wings had to say... Well said and he almost predicted the game to a tee!
